"You're on the Air: How to Really Make it in Voice-Overs!" is a one-time, 2-hour interactive workshop. This class is designed to introduce interested students to the industry, allow them to ask questions, check out industry standard recording equipment, and even get to step up to the mic and record a practice voice-over.

In this class, our professional voice-over artist and instructor Tom Force discusses the main players in the voice-over industry, how it used to work vs. how it works today, basic voice-over technique for a narration vs. commercial, what clients want to hear in their advertisements, where voice-over artists work today, if the voice-over industry is right for you, how to get voice-over training, how to use the Such A Voice method to develop your unique voice, and how to best market your voice-over brand to become a successful voice-over artist.

Tom has been a radio personality for more than 40 years, and his talents and passions crossed over to voice acting years ago. Honored by the Detroit office of the Screen Actors Guild, he has taught master classes at Wayne State University. His list of clients includes CBS, Pepperidge Farms, Ford, Cadillac, Red Lobster, and many more. His warm, yet dynamic, approach to teaching voice acting makes students feel at ease, making it easy to learn from his years of experience in the voice-over industry.
