 "You're on the Air: How to Really Make it in Voice-Overs!" is a one-time, 2-hour interactive workshop. This class is designed to introduce interested students to the industry, allow them to ask questions, check out industry standard recording equipment, and even get to step up to the mic and record a practice voice-over.
In this class, our professional voice-over artist and instructor Lisa Foster will discuss the main players in the voice-over industry, how it used to work vs. how it works today, basic voice-over technique for a narration vs. commercial, what clients want to hear in their advertisements, where voice-over artists work today, if the voice-over industry is right for you, how to get voice-over training, how to use the Such A Voice method to develop your unique voice, and how to best market your voice-over brand to become a successful voice-over artist.
Lisa Foster, with 15 years of experience in voice-overs and broadcasting, has one of the most versatile voices in the industry. She has written and voiced live and recorded commercials for dozens of businesses and corporations including Crest Toothpaste, Olay, Café Appassionato, LA Weightloss, Advanced Laser Clinics, and Sleep Train. Foster has done numerous local and national spots, from website narratives and computer games to commercials and even comedy bits! She is a well-known on-air radio personality in the Seattle broadcast market, and with her state-of-the-art home recording studio, she is now being heard all over the world!
