Take our introductory class, "You're On the Air...How to Really Make it in Voice-Overs" and you’ll learn about an exciting, fun way to get voice-over training that will allow you to  actually turn voice-overs into a thriving full- or part-time business! In the class Ivan Jesus Blanco, Angela Castonguay, Ben Marney, or David Tolar will discuss the many types of opportunities you'll have as a voice-over artist, how the voice-over industry used to work vs. how it works today, basic voice-over technique for a narration vs. commercial, what clients want to hear in their advertisements, where voice-over artists work today, if the voice-over industry is right for you, what is entailed in voice-over training, how to use the Such A Voice method to develop your unique voice, and how to successfully market your voice-over brand to become a professional voice-over artist.

Ivan Jesus Blanco (JB)

JB was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where he first got into Spanish voice-overs for local and international radio stations. While earning his degree in foreign languages with a focus on Spanish and English, JB continued to expand his niche, and he still produces voice-overs for clients all over Argentina, Venezuela, Panama and Honduras. JB naturally has the soothing voice that sounds like Antonion Banderas, which is maybe why he is in such high demand! Angela Castonguay

Angela Castonguay attended Dan Levine’s Voice-Over Master class in 2009 and is quickly developing a successful voice over career.

After voice coaching with SAV Operations Director, Heather Costa, and perfecting various voice styles with Producer/Coach, Lisa Foster, Angela offers a natural, conversational delivery of a client’s message.

Her most recent voiceover work includes television commercials for middle Georgia businesses, voice mail recordings for corporations, and the continuing development of her personalized voiceover greeting card business.

Angela excels at putting the most anxious clients at ease, enabling budding voice talents to reach their greatest voiceover potential.

With 30 years of experience in the voice-over and entertainment industries, and 40 years of experience in live, on-stage acting, Scott brings a lot of voice technique to the classroom! Scott is currently the voice of National Public Radio and Public Television in Atlanta, and he has voiced thousands of commercials, narrations, and e-learning programs. Dave Tolar

With a performance background spanning over three decades, David Tolar's diverse career has taken him from being an on-air talent working in the radio industry, to being a professional touring musician and recording artist, and as a voiceover artist. David's warm, engaging, and humorous nature comes across in his voice, but he is also very capable of more dramatic and serious fare as well. 

Based in the Northeastern United States, David is multilingual, and has a great capacity for even the most subtle of dialects for all types of voices. His voice is both genial and commanding, gentle and yet powerful, and he will deliver your voiceover work in a professional, timely, and cost-effective manner. Ben Marney

 

Ben has earned his living with his voice for over three decades… as a voice-over talent, and as a professional singer. His voice-over career began early, at age 16, working as a Disk Jockey for KSAM radio in Huntsville, Texas. About that same age, he began his singing career and since then he has literally traveled the world performing his music.

Through the years, Ben's voice has given him the opportunity to accomplish many things. For four years, he was the on-air co-host of the United Cerebral Palsy Telethon, for WAPT (ABC) Television in Jackson, Mississippi. He also starred in four state-wide television specials for WAPT (ABC). He was the voice for the “55 I Believe” state-wide radio and television campaign for the State of Mississippi. He also starred in a nationally released television documentary “The Truth About Country Music” produced by the Pennzoil Corporation.

For almost twenty years, Ben has been a featured entertainer for cruise ships, including Disney, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Royal Viking cruise lines. Ben also has years of extensive experience in the recording industry and currently owns and operates a state-of-the-art professional recording studio.

Dan Levine

Dan Levine, founder and president of Such A Voice, has earned the respect of the industry and has helped launch the careers of countless successful voice-over actors throughout the United States.

Dan is a 1992 Tony Award nominee for the score of the Broadway musical "Anna Karenina." He has won many awards for his commercial productions as well, including a national Clio Award and several local advertising ADDY Awards and nominations. As a successful record producer and music arranger/orchestrator, his arranging and/or production credits include CDs for singers such as Leslie Uggams, several original cast recordings and numerous television shows and commercials. For 17 years, Dan produced commercials for hundreds of clients around the country.

Dan's voice-over seminars, entitled "You're On the Air," have motivated countless future voice-over artists. He continues to deliver these seminars to packed houses throughout the country. Dan's unique marketing technique has opened doors for talented individuals who might never have made it using conventional marketing methods. His philosophy of being who you are and turning your natural personality into a marketable commodity is giving new talented voice-over artists the opportunity to find their inner strengths and to use them in a fun, lucrative and productive way.
